Elemental Magic

Growing up, I read a lot of fantasy books. A lot of stories about magic and it was always interesting seeing the different magic systems in these different worlds. One recurring theme was the idea of magic being oriented around the four elements: water, earth, fire, and air. Often people like focusing on earth and fire as offensive, dangerous elements – but one of the most memorable scenes was one where someone blasted a hole in a brick wall just by changing where the air was. Air is powerful, and it’s important to remember that.

A lot of stuff relies on having air in the right places. This is true in a medical sense, for instance – we need air in our lungs and airways, but we hiccup when it gets into the oesophagus, and it can be fatal if there’s an air bubble in the bloodstream. Or for air travel, the plane can only fly with air moving around the wings in the right way. When driving, it’s just as important – particularly when it comes to the air in your tyres. You need just the right amount of air, keeping your tyres at just the right pressure – and to keep track of that, it’s a good idea to get a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The TPMS automatically measures the air levels in your tyres and alerts you if the pressure is outside the best range. Thanks to the tyre sensors, you’ll know if you need to put more air in those tyres, and you don’t have to worry or check when you’ve got enough air in there.
