Be Safe on the Road

Be Safe on the Road

Over the years, various safety technologies have been designed for vehicles. In many cases, these technologies have become so essential that governments have legally required all new cars to include them. Seat belts and air bags have both made this journey from innovative new idea that could potential save lives to absolute necessity in the eyes of the law. But a newer invention that is making this journey is the tyre pressure monitor system (TPMS).

The TPMS monitors the air pressure inside your vehicle’s tyres, letting you know what the pressure levels are like at all times. This means that you don’t need to go to a mechanic to check your tyre pressure, and instead are able to keep track of your tyre pressure constantly thanks to tyre sensors on each wheel. The safety benefits of a tyre pressure monitor cannot be understated. Underinflated tyres wear out faster, are more likely to lead to blowouts, and have a greater stopping distance. All of this means that if your tyre pressure is too low, you’re much more likely to have a nasty accident. A TPMS will let you know when that pressure is getting low, with both a visual display and a warning light, so you can fix it rather than unwittingly continuing to drive in a dangerous vehicle.

The United States has already required that new vehicles contain a TPMS, but it’s actually really easy to add a TPMS to an older vehicle. Safe-T-Tyre is such a simple system that even a child can use it, making your vehicle much safer without having to buy a new one. Tyre pressure sensors are also available for trailers such as caravans and larger vehicles like trucks and motor homes. Finding an accurate TPMS for these sorts of vehicles can be difficult, but the Safe-T-Tyre range is guaranteed to work like a charm.
